I have extensive customer service experience from working the front line in fast food establishments and convenience stores. I also have extensive money handling experience, as I have been a cashier for most of my career life, and also have proven responsibility with money by becoming a manager. I have trained many people to do jobs where I've worked, because I am proven competent in less than a month's time and have an innate teaching ability.
I am a leader to those willing to follow. I set an example and encourage my co-workers to follow that example. I have found that the best way to improve morale and co-operation at work is to be a positive role model for my co-workers and to not ask anyone to do anything that I would not do. As a result, I am well-liked by my co-workers and my customers, or patients when I worked in a hospital.
I love to learn new things. I'm what you would call a geek or a nerd. I'm one of those people that gets a thrill out of the challenge of learning new things or anew way of doing things. I love school. Education is very important to me. Many things can happen to you that will derail your life, but as long as you have the knowledge or sills that you need, you can put that train back on its tracks and carry on. I've jumped the tracks a few times, but I am working on repairing those tracks so I can once again man my locomotive and chug away.
Right now, I am attending a technical college to learn website design. I had taught myself how to do it several years ago, and enjoyed it. However, times changed, information and methods have been updated, and what I knew before was now outdated. That's no problem to me. I happily enrolled in a program at a local school to update and apply that knowledge in something that I enjoy doing. I also enjoy building and repairing computers, but not as well as I do creating web pages. The pleasure I get from turning a blank slate into something beautiful is hard to describe. I feel like I am an artist sometimes.
Perhaps you can help me along the way to realizing my goal of being a web designer. I'm not finished with my program yet, but I have a lot of it under my belt already. Maybe you would like a basic web site to start making your business more visible and accessible to the public. I would appreciate the work and experience, and also gain a portfolio and some recommendations for my work.
